      I think anything I found back in the day was just schematics online. I'm pretty sure I made my own gasket out of gasket material for the gear cover. If you haven't yet, you should join www.tractorbynet.com/forums/ and look for the tiller there. I think I found most of the information on the tiller from people there.

    What is the procedure to use this. The instructions from the Web site are only for the pf24. Which i just used and it's not right for the c24. I see you are bending it several times and pushing through which is completely different from the pf24 instructions. Just tried the pf24 ones and now got 4 poles i can't use as it bent them to a 34 feet wide not the 26-30 needed. Any help would be great.

    I just acquired a rs 1300. It has the 6 spline on the tiller. Do I need to put a pto shaft with the slip clutch? I see you have a 6 spline to 6 spline PTO shaft. Is there a shear pin your using? Or is there some other form of protection for the tractor gear box? Thank you

    • @foxcouleefarms
      @foxcouleefarms Год назад

      I thought about using a slip clutch, and even bought one, it was just too cumbersome to deal with. What I did notice is these are very low on the aggressive side because they were designed for rice fields, and if I hit a rock, it bounces over it, Roots have the same effect because of the direction of the tines. I know the guy who owned it before that blew it up was probably running it way to fast and aggressively. I was lucky to find used replacement parts. And No, I don't use a shear pin either. It's been working fine for me all these years. Just have to replace lost tines now and then.

      Ive got the rs1200 in green. Bought it from my uncle, it was just sitting in a scrap pile to be thrown out. Works great so far but i can’t get that guard on the rear to stay on. It keeps bouncing out of place as i till. Should there be some notches near the top that makes it more secure? Thanks and yours looks to be in great shape now

    • @foxcouleefarms
      @foxcouleefarms Год назад

      @@sktech76 There WERE some flexable straps that fit into slots, but those broke off long ago. I did for a while use brass door hinges that worked well until the non-brass self tapping screws I used rotted out. I was thinking about doing it again, but instead of using the steel flap, swapping it out for a piece of plywood. Also adding to the feet to make it only till 2" max depth.

    It isn't the gauge only which determines the level of difficulty. Correct? Doesn't the diameter have some bearing on your ability to perform the tube bending? If the diameter of the pipe is too large AND the gauge too thick, then it would be considerably more difficult to accomplish your tasks.

    • @foxcouleefarms
      @foxcouleefarms 4 года назад

      it all comes into play, absolutely. These benders are designed to be used mostly with the poles generally used for chainlink fence top rail. They are commonly the same specs.

      I've never had a issue with wind. As for snow, the original 2 greenhouses I built DID collapse to ice and heavy snow load, but only because wasn't using or maintaining them while taking a 3 year hiatus while taking care of family medical issues. This won't be an issue on the new greenhouses I'm currently building. On top of that, I'm spacing the hoops 3 feet apart and I have 5 horizontal purlins as well as roll up sidewalls which have hip boards adding even more support. Also, I'll greenhouses will have 2 layers of plastic which will be inflated. I'll upload new videos soon.

    • @foxcouleefarms

      Maximum length would be the longest greenhouse plastic available I guess. I think that is about 100' which is probably why most commercial greenhouses are 96' long.? I think I've actually seen it longer though. I did have one of my greenhouses collapse on me this winter... so, I'll be doing another build video this year, and explain why that happened, and what I'm going to do to prevent it from happening again. I also ordered low hoop benders to do soil row covers for pre-frost early planting. I plan on really hitting the videos and posting strong this year, so, make sure you subsribe. • @foxcouleefarms
      @foxcouleefarms 7 лет назад

      I got lucky and found a 150' roll of 48' wide, so I could actually cover 1 greenhouse twice, and the other once with that. Otherwise, would have used 42 wide because the poles for each hoop are 4x10' and I wouldn't have wanted to gable that 40' wide plastic would cover it. Hope that helps.

    • @robertomungaray9787
      @robertomungaray9787 7 лет назад

      ok, so a 42' would cover all the way to the ground width wise?

    • @foxcouleefarms
      @foxcouleefarms 7 лет назад

      roberto mungaray correct I do have the 6" boards at ground level with the wiggle wire attached to that, and being that the hoop/poles do sink down about a foot into that, there should be plenty of excess to cover.
